David Wood
David Wood is a founder director of Symbian plc. From 1998 to 2002 he headed Symbian's Technical Consulting department, building and directing teams that worked with Symbian's customers to create the world's first smartphones. Most recently he was EVP of Partnering at Symbian, fostering sustained commercial success for companies in the Symbian ecosystem through Symbian's partner programs.
As EVP of Research, David is now responsible for specialist inter-departmental collaborative projects within Symbian, covering engineering, strategy and market development, focussed on improving the competitiveness and value of Symbian's overall offering. He has an MA in Mathematics from Cambridge University.
